Isabel Interfaced with UpToDate
Isabel Healthcare (the Diagnosis Reminder System) has now been interfaced with UpToDate (UTD). When you click on an Isabel diagnosis, one knowledge option under “Related Content” is now UpToDate. (Note that links to PubMed and CDC are also available.)
As a result Washington University School of Medicine users can now go directly through to UTD knowledge for that diagnosis/subject. There is no need for WUSM users to login to UTD and re-type in the diagnosis/subject. In cases where the diagnosis or subject is not known, Isabel is effectively acting as a unique ‘clinical features’ to ‘relevant diagnoses’ converter!
UpToDate is a useful resource if you know the subject or the diagnosis. Isabel is uniquely able to process clinical features, i.e. convert them into likely diagnoses.

Click on Ovarian Neoplasms and notice the UTD icon on the next web page:

When you click on the UpToDate icon, a second browser window opens with the UpToDate interface – the UTD search box is already automatically filled in with your search term. No need to re-type!
