ILL & Document Delivery Fees
Most libraries charge us for loaning materials and for delivering photocopies to us. The fees we pay to obtain materials on interlibrary loan average $11.00 per request. We must also pay a royalty to photocopy most articles. The royalty fee ranges from $3.00 to $50.00. The average royalty is $14.00.
Our budget requires that we pass a portion of such fees on to our clientele. Charges for borrowing material on interlibrary loan are:
Affiliation |
Charge Per Request |
| WU Medical School & WU Danforth Campus | $6.00 |
| WU Medical Center & BJH | $8.00 |
| WU Alumni & Former House Staff | $8.00 |
| Library Member | $13.00 |
| Non-Affiliated | $20.00 |
| Loansome Doc | $11.00 |
Some documents, such as patents or non-U.S. theses can be obtained only by purchase from commercial vendors and are extremely expensive. If the cost of obtaining a particular document exceeds $50, we may need to pass on additional charges. We will contact you for approval before placing such an order.
