| Description: | Portrait of Lawrence T. Post, M.D., by Charles F. Galt, 1953. Oil on canvas, framed, total dimensions 39.5 x 33.5 inches. A brass plaque on the base of the frame reads: “LAWRENCE T. POST, 1887-1958 / PROFESSOR OF CLINICAL OPHTHALMOLOGY / 1930-1958.” Post was also head of the Department of Ophthalmology until 1953. The portrait was presented at ceremonies honoring Post on his retirement that year and originally hung in McMillan Hospital. |
