“Seaform Set” is a group of 12 glass shell-shaped vessels of various sizes, the largest of which is 23 x 23 x 10 inches, mounted to form an aesthetic display. The set was donated in 1982. The vessels are contained in a Plexiglas case with a black wood base, total dimensions 69 x 38 x 38 inches. Two brass plaques are mounted on the base. The upper one reads: “Seaform Set, 1982 / Dale Chihuly.” The lower one reads: “In Memory of David S. Copio / 1955-1980 / Graduate Student, 1977-1980 / Washington University / A Gift from Family and Friends.” |
